Grace Melody Juell graduated from Orange County School of the Arts in 2020 as a member of the Classical Voice Conservatory. She performed in their elite professional group, Bel Canto Singers. Grace was Nancy in Oliver, and Miss Honey in Matilda with McCoy Rigby Arts; then as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd with Broadway on Tour. She recently won first place in the Vo-Cal Classical Voice competition for the 3rd straight year. Grace was a 2019 Orange County Register Artist of the Year finalist and Stars of Tomorrow and Opera Focus scholarship winner. She was a featured soloist in Carmina Burana directed by Maestro Grant Gershon. She performed the role of La Princesse, in L’enfant et les Sortileges at OCSA and was invited to perform in the Season Finale at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Other operas she has performed in include Candide with director Kristof Van Grysperre, and Die Fledermaus with director Mark Lamanna. Grace was chosen as a masterclass participant for Frederica von Stade, Jake Heggie, Susan Egan, Ann Baltz, and Angela Blasi. She has trained with vocal coach Kimberlie Hess for over 13 years. Grace was honored to volunteer as a TA for OCSArts OC Sing camp, and also as a participant in three summer intensives: Angel's Vocal Art, ArtsBridge, and BYU Summerfest. Grace has an affinity for foreign language and enjoys studying the operatic languages; French, German, Italian and Spanish.
